Derek Shunk

Founding Partner

Over the last ten years, Derek’s diverse professional career has consisted of working in multiple industries, and holding several different titles from Recruiter, Account Executive, Organizational Change Management Consultant, Communications Consultant and Project Manager. These experiences enabled Derek to communicate and work with various functional teams in small, medium and large size companies. He has sold staffing solutions and managed services in many industries, as well as lead Organizational Change Management projects for large Life Science clients.

 Along the way, Derek’s main focus and passion has been on the people. Whether it be recruiting top talent, creating educational marketing campaigns or developing job role specific training curriculums for employees impacted by large software implementations, he understands the importance of ensuring the employee is properly aligned with the organization, trained and given every opportunity to perform their job function at the highest level.

Derek received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Villanova University. At Villanova he left a legacy as one of the all-time great college baseball players and still holds the all-time hits and games played records for Villanova. Additionally, he was a two time All American and All Big East player. As a result, Derek was drafted by the San Diego Padres in 2008.

 Derek and his wife Aleka live in Southern New Jersey with their two sons Calvin and Lucas.

Daniel Reeder, MBA

Founding Partner

With over 9 years of Human Resources experience, primarily focused on Compensation and Benefits, Dan Reeder brings an array of expertise to the team.  Dan spent three years working in consulting roles for Hay Group.  In this capacity he helped large to enterprise level clients with a variety of Compensation and Total Rewards related issues and analysis.  He also managed the production of annual compensation reports for the Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Retail, and Chain Restaurant industries.  Dan left Hay Group in 2012 to join the Compensation team at Princeton University.  His first three years at Princeton were spent managing projects, job evaluation, and analyses at the client level, and overseeing the executive compensation process for the University.  For the past three years Dan has lead the Compensation function for the University, focusing on modernization through technology and analytics while navigating the volatile regulatory environment.

 Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Western Illinois University and an MBA from Drexel University.  He lives in Southern New Jersey with his wife Jamie and daughter Nora.
